Live Presentation at CTI Expo '98 for Tandem Computers The goal: to showcase Tandem's live agent system for e-commerce at a trade show. Set-up limits prevented actual use of the system, so the presenter, the actor David Booth, interacts with a video of the web agent. He used an earbug to ensure sync of his lines with the video, making the interaction seem live. This is just the first minute or so of the 15-min live presentation.
	Presenter (David Booth) <DB steps up to the stage. He is dressed in a loud yet tasteful Tropical shirt.> <Synchronized start of earbug and video>	On-Screen Visual/SFX Video begins. Black screen.
		SFX: modem connection beep-boop-kwushhh... connection is established... Fade up on browser screen (it frames the Internet content throughout the video). Content: the humorous David Booth Home Page.
	DB: "Okay, I guess everyone who surfs the Internet has a particular weakness, am I right? Something they just can't stay away from?" "For me, it's... okay, I confess... it's Tropical shirts."	Cut to close-up of one element on his home page: "My Tropical Shirt Collection"
	DB: "I like to wear them while I surf the Net. Really puts me in the mood. <in surfer voice> ‘Like, shocked sites, man? Totally tubular!'"	Mouse clicks on "Collection."
	DB: "Well, okay, so my collection's not so big. See, I shop on the Internet, and... you ever tried to buy Tropical shirts on the Internet? It's tough." DB: "Left to yourself, you can make some pretty big mistakes." DB: "Whoa, danger Will Robinson. Let's try this new site I heard about... ‘Scuba in Aruba.'"	Cut to show a collection of only two shirts. Screen changes to show a garish "Tiki Torch" online Tropical shirt outlet. Cut to close-up of ad burst element under a shirt display: "110% Polyester!"
	DB: (awestruck) "Wow, look at that." DB: "I betcha that's not 110% polyester. Or is it? Do they have it in Kinda Large? So many questions... Wait a sec, what's this?" DB: "'Connect to Live Agent.' Is this for real?"	Screen changes to the Scuba in Aruba Page including the Tropical Shirt display. Web animation: Model pirouettes in shirt. Cut to close-up of "Connect to Live Agent" button. Mouse clicks. Button flashes as it's activated. Videophone window opens. Female agent (FA) says stage left (to DB): "Hello! Be with you in a moment."
	DB: (whoa!) "At last! Someone is bringing a friendly face and a helping hand to the Internet."
	<DB surfs his way around the stage as titles roll...>	Internet screen of agent shrinks to the background. High-energy music up as we bring up bold titles and art...
