Our Rally Prepared
Skidplates go above and beyond the protection of our normal
skidplates. We start by taking our already beefy 3/16" skidplate and add a
10" wide strip of 3/16" aluminum (24" long) that extends back an
additional 8" to cover the front of the transmission. This extra
protection makes a std 3/16" plate a full 3/8" thick around entire
oil pan. We also weld and rivet the two pieces together for
additional strength, Primitive knows that removing broken or sheared
bolts is a pain in the butt, so we recesses the rear bolt heads into
the plate to avoid damage. This is the very same type of plate that
the Primitive Rally Team uses on our stage-prepped rally cars. So
you can be confidant this plate will stand up to the abuse while on
stage!
