| Volcanic in origin, Mt. Kilimanjaro actually has three major peaks, with Uhuru (19,340 feet) being the highest; Mawensi (17,564 feet) and
Shira (13.000 feet). Although the mountain climb was certainly the highlight of the sojourn, the team discovered that there's much more to Africa than mountain climbing. The next three weeks were spent touring Zimbabwe, including Victoria Falls, game preserves, ancient ruins, lakes, rivers, gold mines, tree houses and an animal orphanage, some of which was captured on "film" (see above). | |||||||
