The Palm Haven neighborhood (just west of us, across Bird Avenue)
held a House Tour on September 6, 2003, in conjunction with the Willow Glen
Neighborhood Association. The goal is to raise money for the restoration of
the old gateway markers into the Palm Haven neighborhood, which are
in disrepair. People active in the North Willow Glen Neighborhood Association
supported the event by organizing a vintage car display and "Gatsby on the Green" tableau
with people in vintage garb. Volunteers set up a NWGNA table to acquaint people
with our neighborhood association and its goals.
