Call to Order: Tom Smith, 7:00

1. Introductions and Welcome –
a. Carol Myers – Cherry – SJ Board of Education
b. Susan – on Hollywood
c. Chad – On Delmas
d. Erin - Fuller

2. Police Department Update –
a. Ted Vasquez, AJ Young, Richard Mizgorski
b. Issue on Delmas and Jerome; Bird and Virginia – isolated incident. Few incidents in our neighborhood

3. Fuller Park Update
a. Park located on Fuller from Bird to Prevost
b. Planned open space with Bocci ball court, turf
c. It looks like funding is intact
d. Ken Yeager and Cindy Chavez are both committed to the project
e. The red marks on the trees indicate they’ve been surveyed. They are not being removed

4. Nominations
a. Board increased from 7 to 9 – President, Past President, VP, Secretary/Treasure, 5 Directors
b. Self nominated or nominated by someone. You have the opportunity to accept or decline.
c. We’d like nominees to write a brief statement to enclose in our mailer. The information is due on Monday, Oct. 22.
d. Nominations will also be accepted at the November meeting
e. The duties are listed in the by-laws.
f. Nominations for President – Ken Eklund
g. Nominations for VP – Harvey Darnell,
h. Secretary/Treasurer – Dana/Debbie
i. Directors - Judi McComak, James Moore, Bill Halleck, Dan Erceg, Heidi LeVell, Alison England

5. New Business & Announcements
a. 11th annual neighborhood conference, October 16, $25 at door
b. Help select SJ Redevelopment Agency Executive Director – Oct. 6th, 6:00 PM, Sherman Oaks Community Center
c. 10th annual Daffodil planting program – planting date Oct. 23rd. Bulb distribution Oct 9th & 16th. San Jose Beautiful 408-277-5208. Generally 300 per organization
d. Gardner Advisory Council Meeting, Wed Sept. 29th 7-8:30 PM Gardner community Center; the new center is open – YEAH! GAC is looking for a secretary for their board.
e. Christmas trees – Look for email for additional information. We’ll be placing an order for our neighborhood. Prices still pending.
f. Several break-ins took place on Delmas South of Willow. Raised awareness of new town homes or luxury homes. No known information was available.
g. Carol M. update on Gardner since fire. Construction date still not definite. They are also looking into additional programs to assist educating the children.
