North Willow Glen Neighborhood Association Call to Order: 7:05 pm, Alison England, President 1. Introductions and Welcome Alison England. 2. Public Safety Update no update 3. Fence Installation Update Marc Bauman and Dan Erceg Phase 1 of the fence project will soon begin! Please volunteer to set the fence posts and pour the concrete on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th. Please meet at Atlanta and Bird Avenues at 9:30 am. Phase 2 of the project will occur on SATURDAY, October 4th. Please meet at the same time and place and be ready to paint. Wear old clothes and bring a brush if you can! 4. City Council Meeting on Tuesday, September 30thTAMIEN VISION COALITION members Please attend the Tuesday, September 30th City Council
Meeting to speak out on the Tamien Specific Plan. This association is
in opposition to the proposed development. If you never attend a city
council meeting or only Flyers will be distributed to the local community this weekend. Also on the agenda will be the mayors proposal regarding the general plan. Neighborhoods and the City Council will have limited participation in the development process. 5. Tree Planting Ken Eklund Please see Ken Eklund for information regarding the tree planting on parkways to occur on Saturday, October 25th. 6. Land use issues There is a proposal to build townhomes at the former Del Monte site at Auzerais Avenue. As we learn more about the project we will have further discussions. There is a proposal to build 18 homes on Herve Lane. There is a proposal to build 14 apartments with mixed use retail on the first floor at Belmont and Minnesota Avenues. 7. Other Announcements There is a new litter module being installed at Starbrite Market. There will be 9 meetings throughout the city to choose the next police and fire chiefs.
