Chinese-style Spicy String Beans

1 lb. green beans, ends trimmed
1 tbsp. sesame seeds
2 tbsp. hoisin sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp. chili-garlic sauce (can find in the asian foods section of most supermarkets)
3 tbsp. water
2 tsp. cornstarch
2 green onions, chopped

Toast sesame seeds in a large non-stick skillet over high heat until golden, about a minute. Transfer to small dish and set aside.  Steam or boil green beans just until crisp-tender (2 - 4 min). Drain them and have standing by. Put hoisin sauce, soy sauce and chili-garlic sauce in skillet. Dissolve cornstarch in water, then add to skillet mixture. Add green beans. Place skillet over medium-high heat. Toss beans until sauce thickens and coats beans, about 2 min. Mix in green onions. Transfer to shallow bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
